The
Maryland-National Capital Homecare Association (MNCHA), with support
from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) Office
of Preparedness and Response, has designed this handbook so that home
care providers can educate and prepare themselves, their patients, and
their agencies for a wide-range of disaster situations . It is the hope
of MNCHA that home care providers will use this resource as a starting
point for developing a specific disaster preparedness plan.
This manual is divided into five main parts:
1 . Assessments
2 . Incident Command System
3 . Business Continuity Planning
4 . Emergency Plan by Event
5 . Resource Contact Information
